A Little Easter Tradition!

For Sunday in Young Women's my wonderful 1st Counselor gave an amazing lesson! (Thanks, Jess!) It definitely brought us all to tears! We should all be so thankful for the gift of the Atonement and Resurrection! She mentioned that we (members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints) celebrate the Living Christ on Easter. And as a tradition, standing for three years, I make these:

A little nest to represent Life, Newness, and Spring! Happy Easter!!

The Young Women love them! (Thanks Mom for the cute idea!)

Some of you wanted the recipe for the yummy treats. It's as simple as making rice krispy treats but just use chow mein noodles instead.

Use the microwave instructions off the marshmallow bag. Melt the butter first, then add the bag of mallows and stir in the chow mein noodles a little at a time until you have added the total amount of cups of noodles. Then mold them into nest shapes and let them cool on wax paper.

I always put in three jelly beans but you can use whoppers too if you want chocolate. If you really want to go the extra mile put the nests into some easter grass in a basket. Way cute!
