So, tonight the children were playing upstairs and when I called them down to get ready for bed I noticed Ava's face. When I asked her what it was, she immediately answered "lipstick, am I cute?"
Of course we couldn't help but bust a gut! but, I really was wondering what is was and so I looked closer....it was an orange crayon! She had bit off chunks and licked it to help smear the color on. I had to capture the moment and she was shy at first. If you look close you can see bits of crayon in her teeth! That is some serious wax clog in her insides right now I'm sure...good thing crayons are non-toxic, they are aren't they?
Anyway, after cleaning it up and putting the kids to bed, Derek mentioned it reminded him of this video...Did I Get It?

"Am I cute?!" That's too funny! You are a good mom to not get mad. I love how proud of herself Ava is! What a doll.
We do need to chat more and get together! I would love to! I've loved reading your blog and it makes me feel (even though we aren't actually seeing each other or talking) that we are getting to be better friends! You are great. We should see you Saturday. We have youth conference until noon, but should get there for the tail end if everything goes as planned. My mom's watching Hannah... so she'll be there to play.
I never really thought that Ava looked like you until those pictures. She just looks more grown up or something, maybe her hair is getting longer, but whoever she looks like she's cute!
