Deacon Baird Christensen was born. He was so cute. so sweet. and honestly a lot smaller than I had thought at only 7lbs.He was born with a mole on his head that had lots of hair sticking straight out of it. He loved to cuddle up right under my chin, and still does. He had spent an extra day in a Special Care Unit and we celebrated New Years Day last year with him coming home. He has been the easiest and most relaxed baby of mine. He really doesn't need much to make him happy...just his mom! He loves to pull my hair and move my head towards him if I am looking the other way. He has learned how to give kisses, wave bye-bye, say Daddy and doggy and just loves to laugh at his older brother and sister. Being born smaller hasn't mattered much, he is now 22lbs. and 30 1/2" long. We went the other day for a follow-up on the mole and his soft spot is still prominent so I may just wait six months this time for his next visit.
Since his birthday was over the holidays we decided to do something fun with the whole family. We went bowling. The kids have never been before and we had a blast!!
We went out to dinner afterward and then went home for cupcakes!
He scarfed a few down and then opened his presents.
We had a great time celebrating and enjoying each other on Deacon's 1st Birthday! Time has gone by so fast with him in our lives, we are so blessed to have him and really just can't get enough of him! Thanks for completing our family Deacon...we love you!
